Mayer & Clifton Partners, Inc. is a boutique real estate investment bank dedicated to structuring and securing tailored debt and equity financing solutions for real estate investors, developers, and operators. We believe that good business is built upon integrity, good will, and competence—values that have guided us over the last five decades.
Mayer & Clifton Partners was founded in 198x by Scott Mayer & Jim Clifton (Add half sentence story). By the mid 1990’s the firm had become the primary boutique investment bank for Buzz Oates, Joe Benvenuti, and Mort Friedman, the developers who shaped the Sacramento region. Over the next fifteen years, Mayer & Clifton Partners financed $XXB for these clients, spanning the development of over XX million SF.

Our Team
Michael Accinelli
Associate Principal
Michael joined Mayer & Clifton Partners in 2024 as an Associate Principal.
Prior to his role at Mayer & Clifton Partners, Michael was a member of the acquisitions team at ScanlanKemperBard Companies, where he worked on acquisitions and developments across all major west coast markets. While at the firm, Michael helped to originate and close multiple acquisitions, refinancings, and loan restructurings. Michael began his real estate career as an entrepreneur in college, where he partnered with a local developer in Eugene, OR to acquire two projects totaling six million in costs.
Michael graduated from the University of Oregon with Honors with a dual B.S. in Economics and Business Administration. He also served as the President of Oregon’s Real Estate Investment Group. Michael is a Sacramento native and graduated from Jesuit High School in 2018. He spends his free time exploring northern California and is an avid skier, runner, and amateur pilot.
Lauren Liebert
Associate Principal
Lauren previously worked on the acquisitions team at ScalanKemperBard Companies alongside Michael. Lauren directly oversaw the acquisition of a boutique hotel site in Oregon’s wine country and worked intimately on the refinance of a 450,000 SF mixed-use project in central Denver. Lauren began her real estate career in the UK, working for a niche private equity firm focused on mixed-use assets in central London.
Lauren graduated top of her class from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Business Administration, where she was a member of Oregon’s Real Estate Investment Group. Lauren is a native of Portland, OR, who moved to Sacramento to experience sunlight.
